Cakes : Policies, Terms & Infractions

Cakes is a private celebration space designed for joyful chaos, karaoke courage, cake ceremonies, and nights worth remembering. To keep the room running smoothly and ensure every guest has an incredible experience, we maintain a set of policies and guidelines.By booking or attending an event at Cakes, you agree to the following policies.

Booking & Payment

All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.Access to Cakes is granted only once payment has been received in full. No entry codes or access instructions will be provided until payment is completed.Because we hold dates exclusively for each private event:Final payments are non-refundable.However, event dates may be rescheduled based on availability.

Security Deposit

A $350 security deposit hold will be placed prior to your event.This is a temporary hold used only in the event of damages or policy violations.If the space is returned in good condition, the hold will be released the day after the event.

Cleaning Fee

Each booking includes a $150 cleaning and reset fee.This allows our team to professionally reset the space for the next celebration.Guests are not expected to deep clean, but we do ask that the space is left in reasonable condition.

Damage Policy

Cakes contains lighting systems, DJ equipment, karaoke gear, décor, and furniture designed for celebration — but it must be treated with respect.A minimum damage fee of $1,000 may be applied if the space or equipment is damaged, with additional charges if repairs exceed that amount.Damage may include:Broken equipment or furnitureDamage to walls, floors, lighting, or AV systemsMissing items from the spaceDamage caused by guests or petsThe person booking the event is responsible for the conduct of their guests.

Liability & Personal Property

Cakes carries venue liability insurance, but we do not cover guest belongings or personal losses.Guests attend and use the space at their own risk.Cakes is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property belonging to guests or vendors.

Pets

Dogs are welcome at Cakes.However:Pets must be supervised at all timesAny damage caused by pets is the responsibility of the hostPets may not interfere with equipment or décorPet-related damage may be deducted from the security deposit or billed separately.

Cakes Infractions Policy

Charging Infractions

If a policy violation occurs, Cakes reserves the right to charge the associated fees to the credit card used to book the reservation.By booking the space, you consent to this method of billing should any infractions occur.

Consequences of Repeated Infractions

Repeated or severe violations may result in:Suspension from booking the spaceCancellation of current reservationsPermanent restriction from future bookingsWe reserve the right to determine the severity of violations and take appropriate action to protect the space and its community.

Potential Infractions

The following behaviors may result in additional charges or penalties.

Overstay

If guests remain more than 10 minutes past the reservation time, additional time may be charged at the hourly rate of the space.

Extra Guests

Cakes has a maximum capacity of 60 guests.If additional guests exceed this limit, the booking host may be charged per additional guest or required to reduce capacity immediately.

Misuse of Equipment

Improper use of equipment — including the DJ setup, karaoke system, lighting controls, AV equipment, stripper pole, or furniture — that results in damage or repair will result in a fine determined by the cost of repair.

Excess Cleaning

If the space requires additional cleaning beyond the standard reset, additional cleaning fees may apply.

Rowdy or Dangerous Behavior

Aggressive, threatening, or dangerous behavior toward guests, neighbors, or property will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of the event and potential banning from future bookings.

Smoking or Illegal Activity

Smoking, illegal drug use, or unlawful activity inside the space is strictly prohibited and may result in fines and removal from the premises.

Alteration of the Space

Moving major furniture, equipment, lighting rigs, or installations without permission may result in a fine.

Pet Issues

Unattended pets or pet-related messes may result in additional cleaning or damage fees.

Final Note

Cakes runs on trust, celebration, and good energy. It’s a room designed for birthdays, breakups, reunions, wild karaoke, quiet cake ceremonies, and everything in between.
